THE AFRICAN IMPACT FOUNDATION

THE AFRICAN IMPACT FOUNDATION

Our Foundation helps to independently monitor our projects and provides tools and expertise that help to ensure our sustainability, as well as ensure that donations given by our volunteers are managed responsibly. The African Impact Foundation has also been instrumental in guiding us through the creation of our Child Protection Policy and maintenance of the protocols around it.

Through our close partnership with them, The African Impact Foundation has grown into an organization that has funded numerous initiatives and programs in the communities where African Impact volunteer projects are based. The charity is proud to have financed the building of clinics, crèches and school classrooms, provided communities with education and skills training, and helped beneficiaries improve their wellbeing and quality of life through improved nutrition and the provision of much-needed health equipment.

Educate | Enrich | Empower

Over the past 10 years we have developed our ethos to be based on building and maintaining strong partnerships with the communities we work in. We work to enrich people’s lives through implementing improved health and nutrition infrastructures, building opportunities for better education, researching conservation issues, creating safe places for children to play and helping to generate sustainable sources of income for families.

Foundation's Mission

The African Impact Foundation works to implement long-term, positive change in the lives of individuals, families and communities in Africa. Their commitment to ‘Educate, Enrich and Empower’ points to the main areas of focus: Education and Enrichment, Health and Nutrition, Empowering Families, The Girl Impact and Conservation. They recognize the importance of identifying and fully understanding the unique needs of each community in order to effectively and sustainably address them. To this end, they limit their reach to a smaller number of communities, enabling the charity to concentrate efforts on building trust, nurturing lasting relationships and ensuring the sustainability of their involvement in each community.

The communities the Foundation works with often lack access to education, health services, nutritious food or safe places to play. Without these basic necessities it is difficult for individuals and families to feel empowered, or to better themselves. Making a meaningful impact in these communities can take the form of providing access to education and health services, improving nutrition or creating a safe environment where children can play and learn.
