Stay in the shadows of Victoria Falls in Zambia , go on safari in Botswana and contribute to award-winning projects, such as eco-bricking and gender equality. Support and encourage teenage girls, through our Girl Impact programme, to become empowered young women within their communities.
Our projects are developed alongside local communities to ensure the work we do is ethical, responsible, and relevant to the needs of their communities. Our teams live and work alongside these communities, which allows us to offer sustainable and transformative experiences that provide real value where it is most needed.
Victoria Falls Backpackers
You will be staying in a comfortable, private house located within the vibrant Victoria Falls Backpackers. You will have access to all the facilities, including a dining area, swimming pool, and even a rock-climbing wall. The Backpackers is conveniently located a short 5-minute walk away from the town center of Livingstone. The house has 24-hour security and individual lockers to store your valuables. Bedrooms sleep 4-8 people, with bunk beds in each room and there are bathrooms with hot water showers
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Work alongside local teachers in rural primary schools that are overwhelmed with children wanting to learn. This is an opportunity to give individual attention to children and support overworked teachers.
GENDER EQUALITY
Through African Impact’s initiative, The Girl Impact, you will support, educate, and encourage adolescent girls as they become empowered young women in their community. Bring local boys and men to the forefront of the conversation as you encourage the gender equality movement and overcome male/ female stereotypes.
ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
This project is a world-first that has won awards for innovation and excellence. Teams contribute to the environmental conservation movement through sustainable building using Eco Bricks, upcycling initiatives, direct clean-up action, and awareness workshops in Livingstone, a small town in Zambia. You will work closely with the local community to find sustainable and practical solutions for plastic waste.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
Put your passion for sports, fitness, wellness, and nutrition to great use as you educate and train school students in the rural villages of Livingstone. Physical education does not form part of the school curriculum in Zambia, and with limited resources, and a lack of skilled coaches, your input is vital to ensure these children stay active and learn to enjoy exercise. Physical education improves self-confidence, teamwork, mental and physical health, as well as helps develop life skills, that would otherwise be lacking.
All our itineraries are tailor made for every school.
