IN-CLASS PROGRAMME

IN-CLASS PROGRAMME

Our In-Class Programme, for schools, is an educational course, delivered in-class and via a virtual classroom and aims to develop responsible global citizens, by working with the communities we support from our permanent project bases across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Students will complete case studies on gender equality and environmental sustainability, before engaging with our communities  in Africa.  Students will help us address ongoing, real-world scenarios. They can learn from and collaborate with our team of specialists, via live interactive calls, who live and work across these permanent bases, allowing students to learn through experience.

The program is broken down into lesson plans, which can be delivered as part of a CAS program or an enrichment program. The program is ASDAN accredited too, so can support UK University applications.

HOW DOES THE PROGRAMME WORK?

  1. Students work through specific subject modules
  2. Modules include climate change, gender equality and environmental sustainability
  3. Our permanent bases allow us to use Sub-Saharan Africa as a case study for these subjects
  4. Students connect with our bases via a Virtual classroom
  5. Students are tasked with a specific real-world scenarios, such as how allowing girls in Sub-Saharan Africa to complete their education can benefit whole communities and countries
  6. Students present ideas to our experts in Africa
  7. Students reflect and present their learnings and outcomes
