INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS

We want to offer you a positive, authentic, fun and life enhancing African experience.

Our global awareness travel programme aims to achieve this. During the course your group will be given a specific community to work with and will then travel to Africa, to visit the same project to continue their impact on an experiential and culturally immersive experience.

Our programmes, which are run full time and year-round are developed alongside local communities to ensure the work we do is sustainable, responsible, and relevant to the needs of these communities.

The programme is accredited by ASDAN and will support a University application.

We know Africa, we live and breathe it every day. We know our communities, our families, our tribes and our staff. We have built every project hand-in-hand with these communities, meaning it is led and directed by them, which provides an experience that truly transforms communities and, hopefully, you!

SUSTAINABILITY PLEDGE

Responsible and sustainable travel is vital for us to protect our planet. Responsible travel is about travellers making informed and responsible choices, and planning trips which have a positive impact on the country they’re visiting, and its wildlife, environment, and people.

This usually means getting closer to local cultures, learning about the people and the history of places, and embracing diversity. It’s something that is part of our DNA at African Impact, it’s something we’ve built our lives and our reputation around, and it’s something that we like to think we’re pretty good at.

As a result of our knowledge and attitude towards this, we have won multiple awards for our Responsible and Sustainable tourism programmes.

DESTINATIONS

Our destinations in sub Saharan Africa, Kruger and Cape Town in South Africa, Zambia and Zanzibar offer you the opportunity to experience incredible wildlife, visit some of the world’s iconic places, such as Table Mountain and Victoria Falls, work alongside local communities and support long term, sustainable development in these countries.

We know Africa, we live and breathe it every day. We know our communities, our families, our tribes and our staff. We have built every project hand-in-hand with these communities, meaning it is led and directed by them, which provides an experience that truly transforms communities and, hopefully, you and your group!

FUNDRAISING

Our experienced team have worked with hundreds of students over the years to support fundraising for trips such as this.  Raising the money does take determination, hard work and commitment but the satisfaction you will have in Africa, having worked hard to support your own travel will be worthwhile.

Initially we will visit your group in school, with fundraising ideas and support. We will also support you with resources and share ideas from other schools.
